2023 "Muy Feliz" Gamay Noir 750ml bottle

The name says it all - this wine will make you very happy. A bright and light-ish chilled red with a bit of fizz! The gamay is from the Barsotti Vineyard, which is one of California’s Gamay hotspots. A beautiful, high elevation granitic hillside and wonderfully farmed. The vines are now about 20 years old. The grapes underwent a carbonic fermentation to preserve the bright crunchy fruit. The wine then rested in puncheon over the winter, and in the spring was bottled and allowed to undergo a second fermentation. We aimed for a sort of frizzante-style - bubbly, but not as intense as other sparkling wines (champagne for instance). The fizz supports the bright fruit, and the acidity delivers freshness. It sings! A lovely wine to serve on its own, with an aperitif, or with spicy foods. WE RECOMMEND ENJOYING THIS WINE COLD! 60 cases made. 10.8% alc
