2023 "Spring Any Day Now" White Blend 750ml bottle

This is a white blend of Vermentino (75%) and Grenache Blanc (25%). Both are grown in the famous Fenaughty Vineyard, on old volcanic loam soils at about 2800’. Both varieties were picked together and whole cluster pressed into tanks for fermentation. This wine actually finished primary fermentation before the cold set in, but the malolactic ferment lagged and finished this Spring. Hence its later-than-planned release! The wine is a lovely pale yellow color, with aromas of wildflowers and minerals. Medium bodied (12.5%) and wonderfully nuanced in the mouth. Just enough acidic backbone to support the finish, this wine speaks gently and seductively. Only 59 cases were made. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 12.5% abv.
